you'd best check your facts before you post stuff like this. the red cross has provided a very close friend of mine with funds to purchase clothing and food, so i know firsthand that they are doing exactly what they say they will with the money that they collect. how do you think that an organization that publicizes so broadly how much money they've collected would manage to just keep the money for themselves? don't you think that a few eyebrows would be raised if the response wasn't in proportion to what was being donated? have you *been* to a katrina shelter even? the red cross is helping a ton of people with the money they receive.

personally, i am getting sick of all of this finger pointing. i wish that people who spent so much time complaining about the response and such would put their energy into doing something constructive. go volunteer at a shelter. we can use the help.
